ITA -- Ci sono differenze territoriali nella rilevazione della violenza sui bambini (9,8 casi su 1000 al Nord, 11,6 al Centro e solo 8,4 al Sud), le differenze di genere rappresentano un’altra variabile importante: le bambine sono più vittimizzate e meno protette, anche perché i casi non vengono rivelati e rilevati. Secondo l’Oms Europa, solo un caso ogni nove di maltrattamento è conosciuto ai servizi. Applicando la stima anche alle bambine italiane, in Italia ci sono quasi quattro bambine maltrattate ogni 100. Ma il 90% di loro resta nel silenzio.
ENG -- There are geographical differences in the detection of child violence (9.8 cases per 1000 in the North, 11.6 in the Center and only 8.4 in the South). Gender differences represent another important variable: girls are more victimized and less protected, also because cases are not revealed and detected. According to the Oms Europe, only one in nine cases of abuse is known to the services. Applying the estimate also to Italian girls, in Italy there are almost four abused girls every 100. But 90% of them remain silent.
